Woman Shot While Trying To Rob Liquor Store

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A woman was shot by a liquor store employee as she was trying to rob the Baltimore establishment.

Police say officers were called to Starlight Liquor Store on Wilkens Avenue at around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday for a shooting.

When officers arrived, police say they found a 19-year-old woman who had been shot several times.

Police say an investigation revealed that the woman walked into the store with another person, brandished a gun and announced a robbery. Police say an employee then took out a handgun and fired, hitting the woman several times.
