Woman Injured In Single-Vehicle Crash

JOPPA, Md. (WJZ) -- A woman was critically injured in a single-vehicle crash on I-95 near mile post 74.7.

The accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

According to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, the vehicle left the road on the shoulder and came to rest in the woods.

The only occupant of the car was trapped. Rescue crews used the Jaws of Life to free her.

She was taken to Shock Trauma and is in critical condition.

It took three and a half hours to reopen I-95.
