Week 6 NFL Predictions
I don't know if it's just me but it seems like week in and week out these games are getting harder to predict. In Week 5 I went 7-7 in my picks which included the Texans being smoked at home, the Cowboys losing after their bye week and the Saints losing to the Cards. My season total after 5 weeks is 43-33, again not bad but not great. Week 6 here we come!
Seahawks (2-2) vs. Bears (4-1) --I never thought I would say this but the Bears should be happy Jay Cutler will return for this game. The defense, like always, has carried this team to the 4-1 start. Seattle has a nice little open to the season but the Bears will be too much. PREDICTION---BEARS
Ravens (4-1) vs. Patriots (3-1) --Game of the Week will happen in Foxboro as two of the top 5 teams will clash. The Ravens running game finally got on track against the Broncos. Maybe the most interesting storyline is how good the Patriots offense will be without Randy Moss. The Ravens are the better team but a Patriot win wont surprise me either. PREDICTION---RAVENS
Lions (1-4) vs. Giants (3-2) --Hey Detroit won a game, unfortunately a winning streak wont happen. New York has made a drastic turnaround from a team you looked to be imploding to having a 2 game win streak. With a lot of questions surrounding every NFC East team the Giants can pull away from the pack with a win here. PREDICTION---GIANTS
Falcons (4-1) vs. Eagles (3-2) --The Falcons are starting to separate themselves from the rest of the NFC and Matt Ryan seems to have rebounded from last year. The Eagles are one of those NFC East teams I cant figure out, with Vick they look like a Top 5 team, with Kolb they don't. If Kolb starts it might be another long day. PREDICTION---FALCONS
Browns (1-4) vs. Steelers (3-1) --There could not have been an easier game for Big Ben to make his big return. The Browns do have a nice thing going this year but with Colt McCoy starting it will be a long day for the Browns. All I know is Roethlisberger better win or thing could go bad real fast. PREDICTION---STEELERS
Dolphins (2-2) vs. Packers (3-2) --Most times this game would be a slam dunk pick in the Packers favor. This week however the Packers are extremely banged up including QB Aaron Rodgers. Lambeau Field is difficult for a road team to win but with the Dolphins having a bye week and the injuries with Green Bay make me lean towards Miami. PREDICTION---DOLPHINS
Chargers (2-3) vs. Rams (2-3) --San Diego continues to play head scratching football. Rivers threw for over 400 yards against Oakland but because of horrible special teams play Oakland beat the Chargers. St. Louis had a nice start but last week they lose Mark Clayton and lost 44-6. San Diego has to win....right?? PREDICTION---CHARGERS
Saints (3-2) vs. Buccaneers (3-1) --The Saints are another team i cant figure out, their offense has been un-saint like. Tampa continues to impress with a huge road win over the Bengals last week. This game will be another close one for the defending champs. If New Orleans can lose to Arizona they can lose to Tampa. PREDICTION---BUCCANEERS
Chiefs (3-1) vs. Texans (3-2) --It's amazing how a loss can impress you more than 3 wins but that's exactly what the Chiefs have done. The Chiefs hung tough against the mighty Colts by only giving up 19 points. The Texans were crushed at home against the Giants. Houston has some injury concerns with Andre Johnson, still they are a better team. PREDICTION---TEXANS
Raiders (2-3) vs. 49ers (0-5) --I picked an 0-4 San Fran team last week so you thought I would've learned my lesson. Nope, the Raiders got a big win but they are not the better team. Let me try this one more time. PREDICTION---49ERS
Jets (4-1) vs. Broncos (2-3) --You put these two teams together not many people would say the Broncos are better than the Jets. But considering the circumstances this game will be a lot closer than expected. However that being said the Jets should still win. PREDICTION---JETS
Cowboys (1-3) vs. Vikings (1-3) --This game is hyped for only one reason. There is a good chance that the loser can kiss the 2010 season goodbye. The Vikings has some issues at quarterback while the Cowboys they look to be the most overrated team in the NFL. Vikings have the edge at home. PREDICTION---VIKINGS
Colts (3-2) vs. Redskins (3-2) --Once again it seems that the Colts defense will finish in the bottom half of the league. The Redskins had a big win over Green Bay last week. Washington has a great home field advantage but its hard to go against Peyton Manning. PREDICTION---COLTS
Titans (3-2) vs. Jaguars (3-2) --In the monday nigh matchup its a battle of two of the best running backs. Other than that not much to look forward to. I like Chris Johnson in the game it will look like a track meet. PREDICTION---TITANS
