WEATHER BLOG: Welcome To Meteorological Spring
Hi Everyone!
Welcome to Meteorological Spring!! HUZZAH! Yep, in the world of science the seasons have changed. In the world of Hallmark colanders it is still, essentially, 3 weeks, until the direct rays of the sun cross over the Equator. But in the world of textbooks here come the Daffodils! (By the way I saw some little white flowers while walking the dog in the park yesterday. Don't know their name but they looked GREAT to me!)
NOW having said that we are still looking for some snow on Friday morning. The "Clipper", the Low moving our way looks to be scooting by to the South. But still close enough to give us a bit of snow, to a couple of inches. Main roads are, in many cases, too warm now for real issues, but side streets could be slick at the beginning of the commute on Friday. Then just some rain with a high of 42.
We could also see some wet snow or rain Sat night into Sunday morning. Quite a finicky "meteorological spring!" But wait!!!!
We are getting real good guidance suggesting that mid-week next week 70 is very possible for the first time in 2016!! NOW that would really feel like Spring. Textbook or colander!
Sum it all up in one great old colonial exclamation--HUZZAH!
