WEATHER BLOG: Showers Continue
Showers will continue across the region this afternoon and evening as a warm front approaches from the southwest. Rain totals by sunrise will total between a quarter and half inch of rain.
This front will continue to press northward on Monday and periods of rain will persist.
Temps will struggle to move through the afternoon on Monday as high pressure centered to the north maintains a cool east-northeast wind across the area.
Additionally, this sharp pressure gradient will induce gusty winds and it will certainly feel quite chilly through the day.
This high will prevent the front from sweeping through quickly and most locations will pick up another tenth to quarter of an inch of rain.
Morning rain on Monday will transition to more of a drizzle pattern Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning. An area of high pressure will then briefly move in later Tuesday into Wednesday with more in the way of sunshine and an intrusion of milder air.
