WEATHER BLOG: Milder Temps & Rain Ahead

After a cold start this morning, plenty of sunshine and milder temps made for a very nice and seasonable January afternoon today. The official high was 41° at BWI. We bottomed out right around 12° this morning. Tonight will still be cold, but not quite as cold as it has been the past couple of nights. Look for lows in the lower 20°s with clear to partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will turn milder by the weekend, but this will come with a few chances for rain. A shower will be possible Friday evening and Saturday AM with possible some drizzle in spots Saturday morning. Steadier rain will arrive Saturday night and last rhough Sunday morning with the potential for 0.5-1" of rain.
