WEATHER BLOG: Messy Morning
What a messy start to the morning! WJZ was on top of it last night as we explained the potential for a brief icing event this morning. In general, most spots only picked up around a trace of ice. Nonetheless, we saw first-hand this morning how it only takes a little bit ice to cause major problems. In addition to the ice, many areas also picked up quite a bit of rain. BWI checked in at 0.75" of rainfall.
The good news is that the overall trend tonight and tomorrow will be to dry out. Highs tomorrow will be seasonable and in the low 40s. Expect a mix of sun and clouds with a breezy west wind.
