WEATHER BLOG: First Flurry

Hi Everyone!

Let's welcome the chilliest weather since late March, of last year, to our New Year's party! A round of applause please!!......................................Wow, that was quiet.

Look, face it, this is January and things like this will happen. Cold fronts will come blasting out of the N, and NW, over the next 90 days. It's Nature. But with this El Nino, this year, things may get a bit interesting. The effects might not be too bad. Matter of fact it is projected that several waves of low pressure will push into the west coast over the next 7 to 10 days. It will be interesting to see if a pattern develops as we approach mid-January. A pattern of them missing us, or messing us. Literally stay tuned.

On another note did you notice this weekend that the days are indeed getting longer. With those totally clear skies you could see to the day's last light. I notice that even at 5:25 we were still in the last stages of dusk. We have gained almost 15 minutes of light since Winter began, and by the end of this month that will be up to 45 minutes, since the beginning of Winter, of more daylight.

It's gonna be a long run until the first day of Spring, but we are on the way! NICE!

Stay warm,

MB!
