Sports celebrities who do nice things

It was a topic on The Mark Viviano Show today..you guys called in with your own stories of sports celebrities who do nice things.

Chip from Towson writes:

"In regard to your "Sports Celebrities/Nice Guys" stories: Back in high school, I was out four-wheeling (illegally) with some buddies in an open field in a nice area in Baltimore county. We got the truck stuck up to the axles in mud, and were worried that we'd get in serious trouble if we called for a tow truck. I walked to a nearby (very nice) home across the road. There was a pretty big guy raking leaves in the yard, wearing an Orioles jacket, with his back to me as I approached. I wanted to see if I could use his phone.
As I walked up behind him, I see that his garage door is open, and has a few Orioles-related things hanging in it (no big deal in Baltimore, right?)….. but as I get closer, the guy turns around to face me….just as I see a street sign in the garage, which says "SINGLETON DRIVE"….and then it dawns on me….It's KEN SINGLETON!!!!!
Long story short, instead of calling for help (as he knows I'll get in trouble) he insists on helping us push the truck out of the mud….in his silk Orioles jacket! Needless to say, we all got filthy, but we got the truck out. We offered to rake his lawn for him, but he only said "Nahhh, man, just do somethin' nice for someone"!
I will NEVER forget that story!"

Thanks Chip!  Sorry we couldn't get to everyone's call today but please do share your story here..
