Rev. Al Sharpton Derides Monday's Violence; Slams Md. Governor
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Reverend Al Sharpton has come to Baltimore, calling for non-violence. He says we should be fighting the violence and not adding to it.
Meghan McCorkell has more.
Sharpton says he understands the frustration but says it won't help. He also had some harsh words for Governor Larry Hogan.
"The cheap shots that the governor's taken at the mayor -- a governor who's never stood up and dealt with police reform -- should not be used as a deception here," Sharpton said.
He addressed the media and then a group of attorneys announced a rally they will hold Saturday. It will start Saturday at noon at City Hall.
If the protesters unite with love, it could be a healing moment for the city. If they unite with violence, it could be the worst protest we've seen so far.
