Ravens Out Of The Playoffs
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The chance for a Super Bowl win may be gone, but Baltimore is still sticking by its favorite team.
Suzanne Collins was there when Ravens fans went through a roller coaster of emotions Saturday night.
One fan put it this way: "The Ravens are good. Pittsburgh is good. They may have won this one, but just wait 'til next year."
The night started with intense pride. Pittsburgh scored, then a tie, then Ravens were up...and then way up.
"Oh my God, so exciting! We just have to keep it up," said one fan.
Fans were ready for the contest, wearing their best purple attire.
"The earrings were a gift from my sister in Delaware," said Felicia Andrews.
The Franks in Monkton created the perfect vehicle for tailgating and they used it to drum up support all over town.
"Driving over here, people were going absolutely crazy. It was so much fun, people giving thumbs up, honking the horn. Great time," said Ryan Frank.
One man knew if he wore his cap a certain way, the Ravens would pull it out, but in the second half, hopes slid.
In the end, Ravens fans are faithful, in good times and in bad.
"It's a sad loss. We didn't get it, we didn't win, but hey...we got better hopes for next year," said Joe Bouknight.
"I'm not depressed. They beat themselves this year. It happens. Somebody gotta win, somebody gotta lose," said John Munford.
And the Ravens will be back---you can bet on it.
