Ravens Agree To Terms With Former UNC DE McAdoo

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) -- The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to terms on a contract with former University of North Carolina defensive end Michael McAdoo.

The NCAA last season declared McAdoo permanently ineligible for academic misconduct. McAdoo filed a lawsuit in July against the NCAA and the school, though a judge denied his request to be reinstated for his senior season with the Tar Heels.

After the 6'7", 245-pound McAdoo was passed over in the NFL supplemental draft Monday, the Ravens pursued him as a free agent.

McAdoo recorded 29 tackles, 10 for losses, and 3 1/2 sacks in two years while playing in a rotation for UNC.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh says of McAdoo: "He's supposed to be a very good guy and a talented guy, so I'm looking forward to seeing him here."
