Powerball Frenzy: Thousands Hoping To Win Massive $900M Jackpot
BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Thousands of Marylanders have hit the stores for days hoping to win the massive Powerball jackpot of $900 million.

As it couldn't get any bigger, the Powerball jack reaches colossal status--ballooning to a whopping $900 million dollars. Saturday's jackpot is the biggest prize ever.
At Milford Liquors in Windsor Mill, people have been lining up non-stop. Everyone has a plan for the big winnings.
"I'm probably going to buy a new car, buy my mom a new house, and give some to charity," said Deanna Collins.
The current Powerball jackpot setting a world record after 18 drawings without a winner.
Other life-changing winnings include: $656 million in March 2012, $648 million and just over $590 million in December and May 2013.
Nearly one billion dollars is a worthy gamble, especially since it just takes one ticket.
If the winner is from Maryland and takes the cash option--he or she walks away with $369.6 million dollars after taxes.
