Police Investigating Accident Involving School Bus

ELKRIDGE, Md. (WJZ) -- Howard County emergency crews respoended to an accident involving a school bus in Elkridge around 8:30 a.m.

According to Howard County Fire and EMS, the accident occurred between the bus and a car along Route 1 near Levering Avenue. According to police, the school bus was rear-ended.

Three students that were sitting in the back of the bus during the accident were taken to a local hospital with minor injuires. The other approximately 30 students were transferred to a different bus and taken to school.

The driver of the car was also transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Police are investigating possible traffic charges in the incident. There is no further information at this time.
