Police Charge Cop, 6 others Following Internet Sex Sting

MANASSAS, Va. (AP) -- Prince William County Police have arrested seven men, including a Maryland police officer, after running an internet sting operation targeting individuals seeking sexual contact with minors.
Police announced Monday a weeklong operation in which detectives posed as juveniles on social media.
Police say the seven men who were arrested solicited sex acts and agreed to meet the undercover detective at a location in Prince William County, where they were arrested.
One of the seven is 27-year-old Christopher Dunkes of Gaithersburg, Maryland, a police officer in Montgomery County. Spokesman Rick Goodale said Dunkes is now suspended without pay.
The other six arrested are Virginia residents ranging in age from 20 to 58. They face charges including solicitation of prostitution and using a communication device to facilitate an offense against a child.
