Pa. Man Killed In Wrong-Way Head-On Collision
LA PLATA, Md. (AP) -- Police in Charles County say a driver heading the wrong way on U.S. 301 died in a head-on collision with another vehicle.
Police tell The Washington Post that Eugene Kantner, 40, of Hazle Township, Pa., was heading south in the northbound lanes of 301 when his sport-utility vehicle struck a car heading the opposite direction.
Kantner was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The other driver and a passenger in that vehicle were taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
