BLOG: MVS NFL Power Rankings--Allison Ranks Week 13
ALLISON RANKS! ; Week 13
1. New England Patriots- Tom Brady is the best player in the NFL and the Patriots proved Monday night that they are the best overall team.
2. Atlanta Falcons- The Falcons have won 6 straight games and proved that they can beat a good team on the road if need be.
3. Green Bay Packers- On a cold, blustery day in Green Bay, the Packers came out in ugly throw-back uniforms and completely torched the 49ers.
4. Pittsburgh Steelers- Big Ben is one ugly, yet tough mother f'er. Troy Polamalu just makes plays. The Steelers stuck it to the Ravens in crunch time and probably assured itself of a division title.
5. Chicago Bears- It took a questionable roughing the passer call to propel the Bears to another victory, but they're rolling right now and have one final obstacle in week 17 against the Packers to prove their NFC North dominance.
6. New York Jets- Rex Ryan proclaimed before Monday night that he had the better team between the Jets and the Patriots. He was dead wrong.
7. Philadelphia Eagles- The Eagles still have to face the Cowboys twice and the Giants again and have to work on keeping Vick upright if they want to win their division.
8. New Orleans Saints- New Orleans has now won 5 straight games and with Drew Brees as QB you can never count them out. They should get Pierre Thomas back this week which will add another offensive weapon to an already talented group.
9. New York Giants- The Giants got their running game moving on Sunday with two touchdowns from Jacobs and two touchdowns from Bradshaw.
10. Baltimore Ravens- The Ravens don't execute when they have to. They have so much offensive talent, but look as bad as they did during the years when they had no offensive talent and the play calling has just become offensive.
11. Kansas City Chiefs- The Chiefs came out +2 on Sunday after their win and San Diego's loss.
12. San Diego Chargers- I went a little crazy putting the Chargers at #3 last week and believed they would run the table, but I, as well as the Chargers were put back in our place on Sunday.
13. Jacksonville Jaguars- Jones-Drew ran for a career-high 186 yards as the Jags proved that they are the team to beat in the AFC South.
14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Tampa is 0-5 against teams with winning records and 7-0 against teams with losing records. Unfortunately for them, they will probably miss the playoffs because they play in a division with teams that beat just about everyone.
15. Indianapolis Colts- Another 4 interceptions for Manning Sunday (and yes I'm referring to Peyton, not Eli) have dampened Indy's chances to go their 12th consecutive post season.
16. Oakland Raiders- After being embarrassed for 2 straight weeks, the Raiders embarrassed the Chargers Sunday and swept the season series for the first time since 2001.
Bottom Feeder- Carolina- Stick to college sports.
