Montgomery County Homeowner Finds Alligator In His Pond

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Montgomery County Police and the Department of Natural Resources were sent to a house in Brookeville after an alligator was found in a pond.

Officials went to the house Friday morning, and the 3-foot alligator was sitting in the homeowner's Koi pond on Denit Estates Drive.

After three hours of draining the pond, the officers were able to catch the animal, and it has since been transferred to the Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Zoo in Frederick County.
