Mom of Slain Kentucky Trooper Drives to Md. to Deliver Gift to Harford County Sheriff's Office

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- After the deaths of Harford County Senior Deputy Mark Logsdon and Sr. Deputy Pat Dailey in February, a mom familiar with the community's pain drove all the way from Kentucky to express her solidarity in person.

Trooper Joseph Cameron Ponder, 31, was shot and killed in September by a suspect he pulled over for speeding in a rural area of western Kentucky, according to the Associated Press.

On Wednesday, Brenda Tiffany, Ponder's mother, presented the Harford County Sheriff's Office with a plaque in the shape of a Harford County Sheriff's badge with a black mourning band around it.

The department posted the photo on their Instagram page.

"Pat and Mark may have worn a different uniform than her son, but we are all one law enforcement family," they wrote in the caption.

"We continued to be touched by the outpouring of support we have received not just from Harford County, but people around our great county. Thank you!"
