Maryland Woman Arrested In Acid Attack In 2010

OXON HILL, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police have arrested a woman in an acid attack on a mother and her 3-year-old daughter in Oxon Hill last year.

Police say Tikia Shauntice Anderson, 29, of Greenbelt has been charged with first-degree assault and other counts in the attack.

Police spokesman Cpl. Larry Johnson says the incident was believed to be domestic in nature. He did not provide any further details.

Authorities say the woman and her daughter were attacked while walking through a lot in the 1100-block of Kennebec Street on March 29. Police say the woman suffered chemical burns to her face, eyes, neck and thigh, and her daughter was burned on her head and below an eye.
