Man Working On Tree Electrocuted In Western Md.
BITTINGER, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a man trimming trees in Garrett County has been electrocuted.
Troopers say about noon on Monday, 28-year-old Brian K. DeBerry Jr. of Oakland was working for a tree-trimming company in Bittinger. Authorities say DeBerry was cutting trees on private property and had climbed a tree to cut limbs.
Police say DeBerry came in contact with a live overhead electrical line. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is under investigation.
