Man Dies After Double Shooting In Southeast D.C.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- D.C. police say one of the victims of a double shooting in Southeast Washington has died.
Police say gunfire broke out shortly before 4:30 a.m. Saturday on Martin Luther King Avenue, Southeast. Officers arrived and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, and a second victim was found nearby. Both were taken to hospitals, and the second victim later died.
The second victim has been identified as 30-year-old Derrick Scott of Capitol Heights, Md.
The shooting is under investigation, and police have not identified any suspects.
