Lincoln's Cottage In D.C. To Host Citizenship Ceremony
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Twenty people will receive their U.S. citizenship during a naturalization ceremony at President Lincoln's Cottage in Washington.
Friday's event will be held at 2 p.m. The 20 people becoming citizens are from 17 countries, including Argentina, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Canada, Sudan and Tunisia.
Lincoln lived at the cottage with his family from June to November in 1862, 1863 and 1864 and commuted to the White House. The home opened to the public in 2008.
