It's Not Too Late To Dress Up For Halloween!

TOWSON, Md. (WJZ) -- If you like to dress up as someone else, now is your chance to party!

Christie Ileto reports what costumes are flying off the racks in the hours leading up to Halloween.

From zombies to pageant beauties, at Artistic Costumes in Towson, kids of all ages are looking high and low for the best Halloween costume.

"I just need a scary face," said one.

In fact, store owner Harriet Berlin knew just which costume to put me in.

"I want to make you Gabby Douglas," she said.

From the leotard to Ileto's roundoff, maybe--just maybe--you could have mistaken her for the gold medalist.

Some of the most popular last-minute Halloween costumes that are flying off the shelves are the cougar costume, Honey Boo Boo or toddlers and tiaras.

"Halloween is our big holiday," Berlin said.

But the big holiday almost didn't happen.

"The storm--the hurricane--had quite an effect on us," Berlin said. "People that were going to come out Sunday and Monday didn't come."

Sandy hit Maryland hard earlier this week, closing many local businesses, including Artistic Costumes.

"Hopefully we can make some ground up with what we lost on Sunday and Monday," she said.

To help make up some of the business lost, some of the most popular costumes are being marked down.
