Heat Advisory In Effect Friday
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A heat advisory is in effect Friday from 11:15 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Counties affected include Anne Arundel, Central and Southeast Howard, Central and Southeast Montgomery, Charles, Prince George's and Southern Baltimore.
The heat index could reach around 105 degrees. The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during outdoor exertion or extended exposure.
Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside and drink plenty of water. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location.
"I could be dangerous out there if you have any respiratory issues," WJZ Meteorologist Tim Williams says. "It's these dewpoints making it feel very, very humid and muggy. Dewpoints up in the 70s, that's in the oppressive range."
