Harford County Sheriff: Deputies 'Faithful Until The End'
ABINGDON, Md. (WJZ) -- Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler wrote a letter Sunday thanking everyone for their support during a week of mourning for his sheriff's office.
Gahler also talked about the service of both deputies Patrick Dailey and Mark Logsdon, saying they were "faithful to the end."
"There is no way we can fully express our feelings of pride in the actions of our deputies who were faithful to the end, who did not shrink from their responsibilities, who did not cower in the face of danger, but courageously made the ultimate sacrifice for the citizens of Harford County," he wrote.
Then he continued to thank the community for their support during a difficult time.
"The outpouring of love for Pat and Mark, for their families, and for our Sheriff's Office family has been tremendous," Gahler said. "We are so grateful for your compassion, generosity, and unwavering support during this very difficult period. We are honored to serve this community."
"Please keep Pat and Mark's families in your thoughts and prayers," he added. "Never forget to look out for and take care of one another; our time on Earth is short and precious."
