Frostburg Council Picks New Mayor
FROSTBURG, Md. (AP) -- The Frostburg City Council has selected member Robert Flanigan to succeed retiring Mayor Arthur Bond.
Flanigan was sworn in during a special meeting Monday night.
He will serve as mayor until the next city election in June 2012.
Bond, 79, announced his retirement last month, midway through his third consecutive term.
