Fire Claims Farm Market Near Hagerstown
HALFWAY, Md. (AP) -- Investigators are looking for the cause of a fire that badly damaged the Greensburg Farm Market near Hagerstown.
Flames were reported at the building in the unincorporated community of Halfway shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday and extinguished about 40 minutes later.
Halfway Volunteer Fire Co. Assistant Chief Jamie Drawbaugh says it looks like a total loss.
The market has stood along Virginia Avenue for nearly 20 years, offering fresh produce, flowers, fruit preserves, snacks and pices.
