Feds Eye Superseding Indictment In Delaware Child Porn Case

DOVER, Del. (AP) -- Federal prosecutors plan to issue a superseding indictment against a Delaware man facing child pornography charges.

Scott C. Foster of Dover was indicted in 2017 on charges of producing, receiving and possessing child pornography.

Foster is accused of using the alias "Chase Reacher" on Facebook to coerce children in Maryland into making and sending sexually explicit images.

A court filing last week indicates that Foster has rejected a plea offer and that prosecutors will present a superseding indictment to a grand jury later this month.

Court filings show that the case has been designated as "complex" because of the size and nature of the evidence.

Prosecutors noted in one court filing that there were more than 66,000 pages of documents that needed to be reviewed by a computer forensics expert.
