Police Investigating Fatal Shooting Of Kevin Glendenning At Royal Farms In Rosedale

ROSEDALE, Md. (WJZ) -- Police are still trying to find the suspect who shot and killed a 31-year-old at a Royal Farms early Monday morning in Baltimore County.

Kevin Glendenning died on the scene. Glendenning's aunt spoke with WJZ just hours after she found out that her nephew was shot and killed. She said his murder is something her family did not see coming and that it's devastating.

The shooting happened at the Royal Farms off Pulaski Highway near Chesaco Avenue around 2 a.m. Monday. Baltimore County Police said they are still looking for the shooter. A police spokesperson said Glendenning was shot in the upper body.

"It's very surreal right now what's happening. I think we're still kind of in denial that he's gone," said Beth Hines. "We want who did this to him caught. There's got to be somebody out there that knows or saw what happened that can tell us or tell the police what they saw. That's what we really need right now."

People who live or work in the area were concerned when they heard about the shooting.

"I was just worried to see if it's anyone that I knew there," said a man who works across the street. "I frequent there. Every day one of us goes there and gets stuff throughout the day."

Glendenning's aunt told WJZ he was a dad with a young son and their family just wants to know what happened. "If you saw or heard something please come forward. We need closure and we need to know who did this to him and why," said Hines.

In a statement to WJZ, a Royal Farms official said "Royal Farms is saddened by the event that occurred at our location in Rosedale, MD on early Monday morning. We send our deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the victim. Royal Farms will continue to cooperate with law enforcement as their investigation proceeds."

Baltimore County Police said they are still looking for leads in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 410-307-2020.
