Fatal Shooting in Baltimore, 3rd Multi-Victim Shooting of the Day

BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- Baltimore City police are responding to a double shooting in the 3700 block of Reisterstown Road where one victim has died.

At about 6:10 p.m., officers located 34 year-old male who was shot in the lower body and a 38 year-old male who was suffering from gunshot wounds to his body.

That 34 year-old victim was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive his injuries while the 38-year-old victim was transported to an area hospital where he died a short time later.

Homicide detectives are investigating this incident and have learned that a tan van pulled into the block at which time someone inside the van began shooting at a group of people who were standing on the steps of a vacant dwelling.  After the shooting, the driver of the van fled the scene.

This incident is the third multiple victim shooting of the day.

A witness told WJZ he heard gunshots and saw two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
