DNA Tests Identify Dead Man Found Floating In River 4 Years Ago

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore County Police used DNA tests to identify a dead male found floating in Back River four years ago.

On the afternoon of September 8, 2011, an unclothed adult male was found floating in Back River under the I-695 bridge.

Initial investigations, which included checking missing persons reports in Baltimore County and Baltimore City, couldn't verify the man's identity.

After sending DNA samples to the University of North Texas, the body had been identified as 79-year-old William H. Bagley of the 1800 block of Woodbourne Avenue in Baltimore City.

He reportedly had mental disabilities and was reported missing from his home in August of 2011.
