Developers Face Deadline To Bid For Slots License
BALTIMORE (AP) -- The deadline has arrived for developers to submit bids to operate casinos in Baltimore and in western Maryland.
Bids on the casinos planned for Russell Street in Baltimore and at Rocky Gap State Park are due Friday by 2 p.m. to the Department of Legislative Services.
Donald Fry, the head of the state slots commission tells The Baltimore Sun that he's heard that at least two groups would bid on the Baltimore site but says he won't get his hopes up until he sees the proposals.
At least two developers are also expected to make bids on the Rocky Gap site.
Neither Baltimore nor Rocky Gap managed to attract a qualified bidder in the first two rounds of bidding.
