THE DEFENSE

Q: Why do you call your car The Romanian Altima?

A: Because I'm from Romania, I drive a Nissan Altima, and I represent with a flag on my front windshield.

Q: How long have you owned it?

A: Four and a half years.

Q: How old are you?

A: I was hoping you wouldn't ask me that. Twenty-seven.

Q: What's your car's main use?

A: To pick up girls. Just kidding. Maybe if I had a Bentley. Just, you know, driving. Getting to soccer practice.

Q: How much time do you spend in it?

A: A lot. I drive a lot. I drive to coaching, meetings, and practice. I spend a lot of the day in the car.

Q: Where do you coach?

A: At Liberty University in Virginia.

Q: Do you ever use it for weekend trips or other trips?

A: Yes, I use it to go down for vacation in Miami and visit my family in Florida as well.

Q: Where did you get your car from? Did you buy it new?

A: I actually got it in Jacksonville, Florida for Christmas as a Christmas present. It ended up only being a Christmas present surprise. Ever since I got it, I've been making payments. My parents paid the $3,000 down payment.

Q: What's the craziest place you've ever driven to with it?

A: Actually, that's a good question reporter, because two days ago I was driving to a game. They closed down the highway because of all the rain that we had. I had to take this backroad. I drove into this mud pit. I didn't think I was going to get out, but I did. It was a pretty cool experience, but also pretty crazy.

Q: Do you have any rules in your car?

A: When I first got it, I didn't like people smoking in it. I don't like people smoking anyway, but I had a friend that smoked and I got really pissed because she smoked in my car. No smoking!

Q: What do you listen to in your car? Do you drive down the highway fist pumping?

A: Strictly dance music. I'm a DJ, so I've gotta do like, a spin. You know? That's my style. A spin.

Q: If your car had a theme song, what would it be?

A: "Stereo Love" for sure. I stereo love you, Staci. I'll write that on your Facebook wall. Staci, I stereo love you.

Q: I'll give it a like. If your car had a human trait, what would it be?

A: Hustler. She's been through a lot. Definitely hustler. She's my baby mama. Like, I honestly love the car. I just seriously love her. She's got me through bad times, good times, makeups, breakups. She's there for me all the time.

Q: How many miles do you think are left?

A: Are you trying to ask me when she's going to die? A lot. Another 100,000 for sure.

Q: What do you think your next car will be?

A: Staci, I can't say this in front of her. <whispering> BMW.

Q: Is there anything else we should know about your car?

A: I think it's really cool that I have over 130,000 miles and I only get oil changes for it. I love Nissan. They make really good cars.
