David Berdan Wins Baltimore Marathon

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Thirty-two-year-old David Berdan of Owings Mills finished first in the Baltimore Marathon.

The science teacher and cross country coach finished Saturday's race through Baltimore in just over two and a half hours, marking his second win in three years. Berdan also finished first in 2013, but dropped out of the race at mile 13 last year due to a setback from a stress fracture in his hip.

The festival included a half-marathon, a 5k race and a Kids Fun Run.

Caitlin Gaughan won the women's race with a time of just over two hours and 58 minutes.
