City Schools Already Have Major Shortfall---Before Budget Cuts
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore City schools are facing a massive shortfall---and that's before state budget cuts.
According to our media partner, the Baltimore Sun, city schools are looking at a $60 million deficit next year.
However, if proposed cuts are approved, the number could climb to $100 million!
Officials are considering layoffs as one way to close the gap.
The shortfall comes in part from the 2010 teachers' contract, which restructured pay---proving to be costly.
