BWI Airport resumes operations after unattended bag sparks security scare
An unattended bag led to a law enforcement investigation and a scare inside the Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport on Friday, during one of the busiest travel days of the year.
Airport officials said there was no threat and normal operations resumed, after the investigation concluded near the security checkpoint at Terminal D and E.
The police activity paused passenger screenings, closed the terminal roadway and suspended the light rail access.
