Body identified in Maryland's Patapsco Valley State Park, police investigating

A person's body found Monday at Patapsco Valley State Park in Halethorpe has been identified, Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) said.

NRP, along with Baltimore County Fire Department personnel, responded to the Glen Artney area of the park at 3:30 p.m. At the location, officers found the body of an adult female in the water at Lost Lake. 

Officers confirmed the woman was deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Phuong Lihn Dang, of Silver Spring, Maryland, according to police. 

Dang was described as an Asian female wearing a blue sweater and denim shorts. The picture provided by NRP shows Dang wearing the same sweater and shorts. 

The Glen Artney area of Patapsco Valley State Park is back open, police said, and they added that there is no danger to the public.

NRP is urging anyone who went to Patapsco Valley National Park on Monday and visited the area of Lost Lake and Grist Mill trailhead, to relay that information to police to help with the investigation.
