Body found in Maryland's Patapsco Valley State Park, police investigating

A woman's body was found Monday at Patapsco Valley State Park in Halethorpe, Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) said.

NRP, along with Baltimore County Fire Department personnel, responded to the Glen Artney area of the park at 3:30 p.m. at the location, officers found the body an adult female in the water at Lost Lake. 

Officers confirmed the woman was deceased at the scene. The victim has not been identified by name, but she was described as a 39-year-old woman from Silver Spring, Maryland, according to police. 

An autopsy will be conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. 

NRP is investigating how the woman died and how she got in the lake.
