BLOG: Weekend Forecast
A fairly active weather day will be followed by some nice and rather tranquil weather for this weekend, thanks to an area of high pressure moving in behind our latest storm system and cold front. We can expect more comfortable conditions, humidity wise, with the drier air accompanied by this high pressure system. Dewpoints really drop later today, from the upper 60s into the upper 50s. There will likely be a fair bit of sunshine as the day unfolds across much of the region, contributing to the setup for an overall fantastic weekend.
Tonight we can expect a nice night with continued comfortable temperatures and clear skies. This area of high pressure sticks around for the entire weekend keeping tomorrow sunny and nice. This high pressure system will shift eastward and eventually push offshore by tomorrow night, creating a moisture-rich southerly flow. This will allow Monday to be a bit more humid with more clouds than the past several days, as well as a few degrees warmer.
Our next frontal boundary will be approaching from the west, trailing from an area of low pressure that is currently being shown tracking well north of the Northeast. Right now models keep the front moving through late Tuesday. Overall Tuesday looks to be the wettest day of the next few. By Wednesday we see another area of high pressure moving in from the west that will bring some nice mid-week weather.
