BLOG: Soggy Sunday

Rain today through Monday could come down hard at times enough to cause flooding, especially in areas of poor-drainage...There is also a risk of a few severe thunderstorms Sunday afternoon.

The overall weather forecast looks to stay on track for the viewing area. A storm system will affect the region over the next few days causing lots of clouds and a lot of rain. The radar this morning shows a stream of moisture in the viewing area and it looks like that will continue throughout today. Rainfall amounts generally by tomorrow towards the end of the steadiest and heaviest precipitation will average between 1-2 inches. The storm will finally begin to exit the area by Tuesday night, but during the day Tuesday there can be a few showers still forming on the backside of the storm system.

Wednesday looks dry and mostly sunny with the viewing area being between storm systems. Then, another front will
approach from the west later Thursday and into Friday allowing for the next opportunity to receive precipitation. Next weekend at this point looks to be mainly dry, especially Sunday.
