BLOG: Ravens Injury Report: Thursday

There were no shocking absentees today at Ravens' practice as the usual suspects sat out of the second to last practice before Sunday night's big game against the New York Jets. Welcome back Rex Ryan and Derrick Mason!

Haruki Nakamura (right knee) and Jimmy Smith (ankle sprain) -- as expected -- did not practice for the second time this week. Lee Evans (ankle) sat out once again as did David Reed (shoulder) and Dannell Ellerbe (hamstring).

Ben Grubbs was limited at practice today but jogged for the first time since injuring his toe in the Sept. 11 season opener against the Steelers. Grubbs said the running was a "huge step" but the right guard was not ready to declare he'll be ready by Sunday night. Grubbs said it will be a game-time decision but also stated the notion of getting a little extra rest in addition to the Ravens' bye week has been discussed.

The good news? Returning to practice were Cory Redding (toe) and Matt Birk, who is still bothered by that nagging left knee.
