BLOG: Ravens Extend Coaches' Contracts

Apparently, the Ravens have extended the Ravens assistant coaches through 2012.  It's an interesting time to do it, in the middle of a lockout.  I am not sure if this was the motivation, but I think a by-product of this is that it sends a message to Joe Flacco and anyone else on the offense that needs to hear it, that Cam Cameron is the guy.  By doing this, the Ravens are saying that they have confidence in Cam, and that he isn't trying out for his job this year.  I think that's an important message. I also believe that Joe Flacco shares in the responsibility of making it work with Cameron.  Remember something else, as people want to be hyper-critical of the offense, they've gone through the difficult process of developing a QB and winning at the same time. Go through history, very few teams have done it.
