Crews Rescue Baltimore DOT Employee Trapped In Manhole Downtown
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore City Fire was on the scene at Howard St and Pratt St where a Baltimore City Department of Transportation employee was trapped inside a storm drain.
The accident happened after an apparent collapse. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
"From our understanding, there was a light rail going by at the time and due to the vibrations from the light rail, some sort of collapse occurred while he was inside of the manhole," said Baltimore Fire spokesperson Blair Adams.
