Baltimore County Police Investigate Fatal Accident

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- Baltimore County police are investigating a fatal accident involving a Jeep and a street sweeper.

Police say the accident occurred early Sunday morning on Pulaski Highway.

According to police, a Jeep Patriot was traveling east on Pulaski Highway when it struck the rear of a 2007 Isuzu street sweeper.

After that collision, the Jeep went over the curb and struck a traffic signal support pole.

The driver of the Jeep has been identified as 24-year-old Joseph Riley Armstead III. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the street sweeper, 53-year-old Sammie Ford, was not injured.
