2 Arrested For Assault Weapon In Northwest Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Two people are charged with handgun violations in Northwest Baltimore.

Police say they stopped a vehicle Friday in the 2700 block of Classen Street. Investigators found a loaded 9mm assault pistol inside with an extended magazine.

Detectives arrested 50-year-old Kevin Howell and 33-year-old Shakia Williams. Howell has previously been prohibited from possessing a firearm.

Both are currently in Central Booking.
