2 Appointed To Harford Co. Board Of Education

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Gov. Martin O'Malley is appointing two members to Harford County's Board of Education.

James D. Thornton of Bel Air and Ronald G. Browning of Havre de Grace have been appointed to four-year terms on the board. O'Malley says they will bring diverse backgrounds of experience and expertise to the posts.

Thornton, treasurer for the Baltimore Museum of Art's board of directors and a principal with the Thornwood Real Estate Group, is being appointed to an at-large seat.

Browning, who owns a bed and breakfast in Havre de Grace, is being appointed to a District F seat. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Baltimore County Community College, a newspaper columnist and chair of the Havre de Grace Historical Preservation Commission.
