16 Displaced After 3-Alarm Fire In Howard Co.

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (WJZ) --Sixteen people have been displaced after a 3-alarm fire tears through an apartment in Howard County.

It happened around 11:00 a.m. in the 7600 block of Coachlight Lane in Ellicott City.

Upon arrival to the scene, flames could been from the second story of the condominiums, quickly escalating to a 3-alarm fire.

Officials say 75 firefighters battled the blaze for 90 minutes until it was brought under control.

A total of 16 people, including 12 adults and four children are now displaced.

The estimated loss of property is $1.2 million.

No one was injured in the blazed.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
