1 Held, 1 Sought In Alleged Human Trafficking Of Juvenile

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) -- Howard County police have arrested a woman and seeking a man for allegedly forcing a 17-year-old Delaware girl into prostitution in Maryland and Virginia.

Police said in a news release Wednesday that detectives monitoring a website known for advertising prostitution arranged to meet one of the women.

Officers say investigators met the woman, who is 17, at a hotel earlier this month, and learned that she was being prostituted.

Authorities arrested woman in a Cadillac had dropped the girl off at the hotel. Nineteen-year-old Janice Figueroa of Atlantic City, New Jersey, was arrested and charged with human trafficking and prostitution.

Police are looking for a man who was also in the Cadillac, but escaped through a nearby business. He is 28-year-old Nathaniel Lee Thompson of Dover, Delaware.
