Georgia farmer says diesel prices could add $100K to harvest costs
A Morgan County cotton farmer says his equipment burns up to 800 gallons of diesel each day, pushing his projected fuel costs more than $100,000 higher this year. He says Georgia’s gas tax suspension will help, but farmers need longer-term relief.
