Jim Parsons Gets Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Physicist Sheldon Cooper knows a lot about the universe. Now he's got his own star.
On Wednesday Jim Parsons, who plays Cooper on "The Big Bang Theory," received star number the 2,545 on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Parsons, a four-time Emmy winner, thanked the cast and crew of the hit TV show for giving him the chance to play the character.
Producer Chuck Lorre and DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg joined Parsons at the ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard.
Parsons plays an alien in the DreamWorks animated feature "Home," set for release later this month.
